I am fascinated by stories. How people connect the dots from seemingly unrelated parts of their journey. And how they choose to create something that feels joyful and fulfilling to them in their lives.
Halima Salim is an inspiring example of choosing curiosity and gratitude above all else. Somalian by birth, moving to the UK as a refugee at age nine, with no prior schooling – Halima went on to be the first in her family to graduate from university. She’s taught English for over ten years, and built an incredibly successful and engaged following (of over 25,000 followers) in two years.
We talk a lot about how important it is to “take full responsibility” for your life, what that really means, and how to develop a stronger relationship with yourself.
Halima has recently launched a new business venture, supporting other online businesses to build and create engaged communities, harnessing the power of social media. Her eagerness to keep pushing her own boundaries, to implement fast change for herself and prioritise her mindset is magnetic.
